The first issue of the "Ghost Sniffers" comic series just moved out of writing and story boarding into full production! There will be twelve issues released in the "Origins & Back Stories" series providing back story for characters such as Tom Tita, Spark, The Four, Cupcake (wait... who is CUPCAKE?!), and even the Monster Bunny itself.
Issues will actually be tagged like episodes with Issue 1 tagged as Episode 1.5 and Issue 2 tagged as Episode 2.5, etc. This tells readers where in the timeline of "Ghost Sniffers" that each issue takes place. For instance, Issue 1, Episode 1.5, takes place between Episode 1 "Tom Tita, Come Home," and Episode 2, "Forge Gone Wild."
As an interesting twist, I chose to write Issue 9, Episode 9.5 first and it will actually be released not only before other comic issues but very likely before Episode 7 (let alone Episode 8 or 9) of the show. Don't worry, there are no spoilers and this will show how very stand alone the comic issues will be. The issue to post on the website (for sale in PDF form and in hard copy) in May.
In another awesome twist, the issues will be written and illustrated by different folks -- not just me! While writers will work closely with me, and all illustrators will build the comic in the same program, writers will be encouraged to add their own twists and flare and illustrators can use pretty much any method they desire. This will create unprecedented new story styles for all of us to enjoy while keeping content coming in!
